About the Edge at Grand Desert Resort

The Zion travel corridor’s most
complete resort experience.

Are you ready to experience the Zion Travel Corridor’s most complete destination resort? A new hotel development called appropriately “The Edge at Grand Desert” is our candidate for that designation. The Edge provides to its owners and guests a full complement of amenities characteristic of the Southwest’s finest destination resorts. It will be managed by one of the biggest and best names in the resort hotel industry.

And the best part: At The Edge you can own one of the “Residences” and be part of the hotel operation.

Centrally Situated Among the Wonders of Southern Utah, Eastern Nevada, and Northern Arizona

The Edge at Grand Desert sits above the town of Santa Clara, Utah, a beautiful little, unspoiled place that was home to the first settlers in this part of the pioneer West, and is still home to their hardy descendants. The more than 100 acres of previously undeveloped property on which The Edge is built, is an island of private land in a sea of thousands of acres of public lands. Zion National Park is only one hour away. Within the drive time of 1.5 hours is Bryce Canyon National Park, Brian Head Ski Resort, Lake Powell National Recreation Area, and Las Vegas. Even Grand Canyon is just 2 hours away. The Edge is the perfect “jumping off” spot to enjoy all of these major destinations.

We Don’t Just Build Homes, We Build Experiences.

When adults look back on their childhood, seldom do their remembrances have a lot to do with money, clothes, or things. Much more likely is the remembrance of a trip, a hike, an adventure, or a special place shared with family members and friends. The Edge at Grand Desert is “the place” for family memories, for a close encounter with nature, and for the experiences that renew and strengthen the ties that bind us together!

Where is “The Edge”?

The resort is located in the South Hills overlooking the Santa Clara Valley and historic downtown Santa Clara. The resort is perched high enough on the hillside to have panoramic views toward all compass points, including views of Zion National Park, Pine Valley Mountain Wilderness Area, Red Mountain, Cedar Pocket Fold, and Utah Mountain.

Santa Clara sits at the epicenter of three major geological formations: The Great Basin coming down from the north, the Colorado Plateau coming in from the east, and the Mojave Desert coming from the south and the west. The site is so centrally located within this ecocenter confluence that the hardy adventurer can snow ski in the morning and water ski in the afternoon, hike the dozens of Zion trails in the morning and still enjoy the shows, food and glitter of Las Vegas that night.

What is “The Edge”?

The Edge is a professionally managed, major brand, resort hotel consisting of a few large custom homes and at least 400 individually rentable one, two, three, four or five-bedroom condominiums. The quality of construction, appointments, furniture, and maintenance will be the best offered in the corridor. Each accommodation will be individually owned, and will qualify to be part of the rental plan.

The resort will provide all the comforts of a destination resort, including restaurants, pools, convention and meeting spaces, shops, and spas, and will take particular care to provide hiking, biking, horseback riding, and ATV access to the thousands of acres of public land surrounding the resort on three sides.

When will ``The Edge`` be a reality?

Soon! Bids are currently going out for construction of the first 50 units and the first resort amenities. The access road to the project will be cut this spring. First resort guests are expected by summer of 2020.

How did “The Edge” come about?

The Edge Resort is the 22-year, finally-realized vision of the major developer of the highly successful, 1000 resident, Entrada at Snow Canyon Country Club, just next door to The Edge. The Edge has the same quality but increases the fun quotient. Everything we have learned in the last 22 years has been put into a destination resort that is the perfect public counterpart to the private Entrada Country Club.

At The Edge you can enjoy the same design and construction quality that you’ve come to expect of Entrada, but with a lot more emphasis on family fun, high adventure, and a broad range of ways to access the thousands of acres of public lands in southern Utah. The design, construction, operations, and marketing are all done by local Utahans.

Why is “The Edge”?

The motto of the developer/owners of The Edge for the last 22 years has been “We Don’t Just Build Homes; We Build Experiences. When adults look back on their childhoods, seldom do their remembrances have a lot to do with money, clothes, or “things.” Much more likely is the remembrance of a trip, a hike, an adventure, a special place shared with family members and friends. The Edge at Grand Desert is “the place” for family memories, close encounters with nature, and experiences that renew and strengthen the ties that bind us together
